MEET WEEK
Fifth-ranked Utah Gymnastics travels to the University of Arizona for their final Pac-12 road meet on Friday, Mar. 8, for a top-20 showdown with the No. 19 Wildcats. Utah and Arizona will compete in the McKale Center with introductions set to begin at 6:45 p.m. MT, and the first vault set for 7 p.m. MT.
Utah will begin on bars and Arizona will open on vault. The meet will be streamed on Pac-12 Insider.
IN THE RANKINGS
Utah moves back one spot to No. 5 in the nation, posting a strong road score against No. 3 California in their loss to the Bears, 198.100-197.700, as the metrics have shifted to NQS (national qualifying score). The Red Rocks reached their highest ranking of the season after the first week of competition, jumping up to the No. 2 spot. The Utes have been ranked in the top 10 in each event since the week five polls came out at the start of February. The Utah beam performance continues to be the Red Rocks strongest event, as the Utes rank fourth in the nation. The Utes maintained the second spot in the polls for four consecutive weeks, having yet to drop outside of the top five in the event. The Utah bars lineup has reached their highest ranking of the season, sitting at No. 7 for the second week of NQS rankings. After posting their highest event score of the season on floor against Stanford (49.700), the Red Rocks floor performance jumped up one spot to no. 6 after scoring over 49.500 for the sixth time this season. Utah holds onto the No. 9 vault ranking, as the Red Rocks lineup rounds out all events to rank inside the top 10.
QUICK STICKS

Grace McCallum leads the team with 11 event wins on the season for the Red Rocks. After adding two wins to her total against Stanford, including a perfect 10.0 on floor and a 9.975 on beam. Â
• McCallum's 10 on floor was her first perfect score in the event and the first 10.0 on floor since MyKayla Skinner's at the 2019 Pac-12 Championships.
• Utah eclipsed the 198-mark for the first time this season against Stanford, scoring a 198.075. This score is tied for the ninth-highest in program history, when the Red Rocks posted 198.075 against UCLA in the same weekend in 2020.

Amelie Morgan announced her intentions to return to international competition at the end of January, in pursuit of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Morgan has been the leadoff performer on beam in nearly every meet of her Utah career. She will look to rejoin the Red Rocks for the Pac-12 Championships on March 23.

Maile O'Keefe cemented her legacy in the Utah Gymnastics record books moving into a share of the top spot for career 10.0 scores with Theresa Kulikowski at 14, after earning her third perfect 10.0 score on beam of the season against Oregon State.

Ella Zirbes continues to show consistency week after week on floor scoring 9.9+ in three of her four competitions and earning a 9.925 against Cal. She added a 9.900 on bars against the Bears for her fifth routine of 9.9 or better on the apparatus this season.
• Utah captured two event wins during their road meet at No. 3 California. With
Jaedyn Rucker and
Ashley Glynn both posting scores of 9.900 to earn a share of the top spot. It would be Rucker's third vault win of the season and Glynn's second.Â

• Arizona defeated Washington after posting a program high beam score of 49.625 in the last rotation, putting the Wildcats up 196.675 - 196.550.
• Arizona saw three career-highs on beam for Emma Strom (9.925), Emily Mueller (9.925) and Alysen Fears (9.900).
• Also posting a 9.900 was Caroline Herry, who secured a season-high and matched her career-high.
