ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The University of Utah Lacrosse team claimed its fourth road win of the season, beating the Lindenwood Lions on Wednesday afternoon, 17-5. Utah improved to 7-4 overall and 5-1 in ASUN play.
Only leading by one through the first quarter, Utah's defense got stingy in front of the goal for the remainder of the game, allowing just three goals through the final three quarters.
The Utes won the ground ball battle at 39-24, also winning 26 faceoffs to Lindenwood's 10. The Lions committed 18 turnovers with Utah forcing nine of them.
Utah finished the game with 13 assists as well on the 17 goals with the Utes three goalies that saw action keeping the Lions to five goals with 13 combined saves.

Sophomore
Ryan Stines recorded a team-high six points in the game, scoring four goals and two assists. Senior
Tyler Bradbury added five points on two goals and three assists with senior
Jared Andreala adding a goal and two assists.
Junior
Cody Hart also notched a hat trick in the game with redshirt freshman
Jake Likes scoring two goals in the fourth quarter for the Utes.
On defense, sophomore
Nikko DiPonio put up a career-best 10 ground balls in the game with Hart and redshirt freshman
Bryce Horton recording two caused turnovers each. Sophomore goalkeeper
Colin Lenskold finished with 11 saves with
Conor O'Neill and
Connor Hollison recording one each.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Utah's 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists) against Lindenwood was the third time this season they have reached the 30-point mark.
- Utah only allowed five goals in the game, tying for the lowest goal total allowed in a single game in school history.
