ATLANTA – The University of Utah Lacrosse team has once again received top honors from the ASUN with sophomore
Ryan Stines being named 2024 ASUN Player of the Year. Four total Utes earned first-team all-conference as well, leading the league, with one landing on the All-Freshman team.
In its third season in the ASUN, Utah has now won four player of the year awards with Stines also earning 2023 Freshman of the Year and
Tyler Bradbury and
Samuel Cambere earning Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
Joining Stines on the ASUN All-Conference first-team are seniors
Joey Boylston and
Jared Andreala, and sophomore
Nikko DiPonio. It is Boylston's second first-team selection of his career and Andreala and DiPonio's first with Andreala also earning second-team in 2023.
Rounding out Utah's all-conference selections is
Luca Pivetta, who earned a spot on the ASUN All-Freshman Team.
#6 Ryan Stines | Attack | Cary, N.C. (Panther Creek HS) | ASUN Player of the Year, 1st Team All-ASUN
- Has started all 14 games this season, recording a team-high 55 points on a team-best 40 goals and 15 assists, adding 13 ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Ranks first in the ASUN and 15th nationally in goals per game (2.86), also ranking second in the league in points per game (3.93).
- Averaging 3.00 goals per game during ASUN play.
- On a 17-game scoring streak with at least one goal in each game dating back to May 5, 2023.
- Has scored two-or-more goals in 11 of Utah's 14 games this season.
- Earned ASUN Player of the Week and USILA Team of the Week for his career-high tying five goals against Bellarmine, scoring the game winner on the road.
- Also scored five goals against Vermont and at Jacksonville.
- Scored a season-high six points at Lindenwood with four goals and two assists.
- Had a season-high three assists against Air Force and Cleveland State.
- Has started all 31 games of his career.
- Has 22 career games with two-or-more games.
- Has 78 career goals and 104 points through just 31 games.
- 2023 ASUN Freshman of the Year and All-Freshman team.
#2 Jared Andreala | Midfield | Raleigh, N.C. (Episcopal HS) | 1st Team All-ASUN
- Missed six games due to injury, but has scored 15 goals along with six assists in the last seven.
- Has scored at least one goal in seven straight games.
- Five of his 15 goals have been man-up scores, which ranks in the top-20 nationally.
- Averaging 2.14 goals and 3.00 points since his return.
- Has tied his career-high in goals twice in the last four games (vs. Robert Morris, at Mercer).
- Season-high two assists against Detroit Mercy and Lindenwood.
- Has recorded a caused turnover in two of the last four games.
- 2024 Preseason ASUN Midfielder of the Year.
- Earned All-ASUN second-team in 2023.
- Has played in 50 career games at Utah with 36 starts.
- Ranks fifth all-time at Utah in career goals (64) and is sixth in total points (85).
#11 Joey Boylston | Defense | Charleston, S.C. (Oceanside Collegiate Academy) | 1st Team All-ASUN
- Has started in all 14 games this season, recording 40 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers.
- 2024 Team Captain.
- Ranks second in the ASUN and 21st in the nation in caused turnovers per game (1.79).
- Has seven games this season with two-or-more CTOs.
- Tied his career-high in CTOs six times this season with three against Ohio State, Syracuse, Bellarmine, Detroit Mercy, Jacksonville and Queens.
- Had a season-high six ground balls at Syracuse.
- 2024 Preseason ASUN Defensive Player of the Year.
- 2023 All-ASUN first-team selection.
- Has played in 56 career games, all starts at Utah.
- Ranks fourth all-time at Utah in career ground balls with 130, also ranking second in career caused turnovers (63).
#46 Nikko DiPonio | Defense | Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (Culver Military Academy) | 1st Team All-ASUN
- Has started all 14 games this season, racking up a team-high 28 caused turnovers and 71 ground balls, also scoring three goals and an assist.
- Ranks first in the ASUN and seventh nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.00).
- His 28 total CTOs this season has tied the school record for single-season CTOs.
- Has eight games this year with two-or-more CTOs, including in three of the last five games.
- Is averaging 3.00 CTOs and 7.60 ground balls in the last five games.
- Earned ASUN Defensive Player of the Week after breaking the school record with six caused turnovers against Cleveland State.
- His six CTOs at Cleveland State ties for the most by a player in the NCAA this season.
- Recorded a career-high 10 ground balls at Lindenwood.
- Scored goals at Marquette, against Detroit Mercy and vs. Queens.
- 2023 ASUN All-Freshman team.
- Has started every game he has appeared in (31) since stepping foot on campus at Utah.

#48 Luca Pivetta | Defense | Victoria, B.C. (Claremont Secondary School) | ASUN All-Freshman
- Has started all 14 games as a true freshman for Utah, racking up 22 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.
- Leads all true freshmen in caused turnovers in the ASUN this season.
- Has recorded at least one caused turnover in nine of Utah's 14 games this season, tying his career-high of three against Vermont and Robert Morris.
- Career-high seven ground balls at Syracuse.
- Also had two caused turnovers against Detroit Mercy and Cleveland State, adding three ground balls against Detroit Mercy.
