Utes open final Pac-12 regular season weekend

SEATTLE – Utah Beach Volleyball opened their final Pac-12 regular season weekend, falling to UCLA, 5-0. The Utes battled back in the second match of the evening before falling to Oregon, 3-2.

After dropping all five courts in the opener against the Bruins, Utah would put up a fight in their final match against the Ducks from Oregon.

Utah clinched a pair of wins coming out on top in two three-set battles on the first and fifth courts. The pairing of Langley Griffin and Katie McAlister secured the first Utah win of the day, 21-17, 19-21, 15-13. Utah claimed its second win of the evening on the fifth court, from new pairing Milan Ray and Gwen Fife, 15-21, 21-15, 15-10. On the third court, the Utah pairing of Lauren Sayre and Chloe Narancich took their match to three sets, falling 19-21, 21-16, 15-19.
