SALT LAKE CITY –
For the second time in 2024, the University of Utah men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recognized with CSCAA Scholar All-America awards, this time for their academic excellence in the spring semester.
The Utes qualified for these awards by maintaining high GPAs during the spring. Utah's men's swimming and diving squad finished with a mark of 3.52, while the women's program crafted a GPA of 3.38. For the women's team, they've now earned this honor for 23 consecutive semesters while the men's team has taken home Scholar All-America honors for the 22nd time in the last 23 semesters.
In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Spring 2024 semester. Of the selected teams, 563 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the first organization of college coaches in America - is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
