Jackson Elder have been named all-stars in their respective summer baseball leagues.

Elder plays for the Bend Elks in the West Coast League, earning a spot on the South Division squad. The WCL All-Star Game takes place at 7:35 p.m. MT on July 17 at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham, Washington. It will be televised nationally on MLB Network.

Carpenter is spending this summer with the Badlands Big Sticks and will represent the Great Plains Division at the 29
th annual Northwoods League All-Star Game, set for July 23 at 6:05 p.m. MT in Mankato, Minnesota. Fans unable to attend in-person can watch via ESPN+.

Elder has made six starts with Bend this summer, currently sitting 1-1 with a 3.30 ERA and 22 strikeouts. He has surrendered only eight walks in 32.2Â innings on the bump. Elder was a valuable contributor out of the bullpen during his first season as a Ute. He made 20 appearances, all in relief, tallying a 2-2 record in 36.2 innings with 29 strikeouts.

Carpenter has played in 38 games with the Big Sticks. He is currently batting .352, a mark good for third on the team and 10th in the NWL. He has also hit eight doubles and four home runs, driven in 37 runs, and stolen 23 bases on the season. He hit .278 during his sophomore season with the Utes, playing in 51 games with 44 starts. The native of American Fork, Utah, contributed nine doubles, three triples, six homers and 26 RBI.
