SALT LAKE CITY –
Kaja Norbye of the Utah Ski Team has been named to the CSC Academic All-America Third Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
A finance major out of Oslo, Norway, Norbye finished the 2023-24 academic year with a 3.99 GPA on the way to completing her degree. She appeared in all 14 races for the Utes this past season, tallying 13 top-10 finishes, six podiums and three wins. Her performance at the 2024 NCAA Championships earned Norbye Second Team All-American honors in women's giant slalom.
Additionally, she was named the 2024 RMISA MVP in women's slalom—recognizing the skier who totals the most NCAA qualification points. An All-RMISA First Team pick, Norbye also was the RMISA and NCAA West Regional champion in women's slalom.
Following the 2024 season, Norbye received the program's Toril Forland Award as the outstanding female skier.
In her career, Norbye owns 12 podium results and four victories. She owns three NCAA All-American awards as a Ute.
