SALT LAKE CITY – After a historic season in the gym, 12 Red Rocks were named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans for the 2023-24 academic year, highlighted by a fifth consecutive selection for the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Abby Paulson.
Including the 12 Utah gymnasts, a total of 1,159 student-athletes across the country earned a 3.5 or higher grade point average this past academic year. Four Utes tallied a perfect 4.0 GPA, including
Jaylene Gilstrap,
Maile O'Keefe, and
Jaedyn Rucker, along with newcomer
Ella Zirbes.
Alani Sabado collected her fourth scholastic award, while
Amelie Morgan tallied her third honor.
Grace McCallum earned her first Scholastic All-America award of her career, along with
Ashley Glynn,
Sarah Krump,
Elizabeth Gantner and
Camie Winger.
Utah Gymnastics also placed seven student-athletes on the
Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll this past May, while the team continued the program's streak of 58 consecutive semesters of a team GPA of a 3.0 or higher following the spring semester. Additionally, Utah earned a perfect NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) score this past fall to continue the streak of perfect scores all 19 years since the GSR was introduced.
