SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball team announced the inaugural signing class for first-year head coach
Alex Jensen with incoming freshmen Styles Clemmons and Simeon Suguturaga and JUCO transfer Zati Loubaki. They'll be joined by a pair of return missionaries in Jaxon Johnson and David Katoa.

"We are excited to officially welcome Styles Clemmons, Simeon Suguturaga, and Zati Loubaki to the Utah Basketball family," Jensen said. "Together with returning missionaries David Katoa and Jaxon Johnson, we continue to build a values-based program."

Trinity Valley CC
- Helped lead Trinity Valley CC to an NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Championship in 2024-25
- Named NJCAA Tournament MVP after scoring 17 points with 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in the title game
- Played on the French National Team at the 2022 FIBA U18 European Championships

SIMEON SUGUTURAGA
FR – Guard – 6-4 - 200
Orem, Utah – Orem HS / Mountain View HS
- Transferred to Orem High School (2024-26) his junior season, from Mountain View HS, averaging 10.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 steals
- Captured the 5A Region 7 title in 2024-25 behind a 10-0 record in region play with a 21-4 overall record
- Named a Second-Team All-Valley selection in 2023-24

JAXON JOHNSON
FR – FORWARD – 6-8 – 200
Sandy, Utah – Alta HS
- Rated as a 4-star recruit according to ESPN
- Led Alta HS to a UHSAA 5A State Championship in 2022-23
- Named the 2022-23 5A MVP on top of earning all-region, all-state, all-tournament and tournament MVP honors

Layton, Utah – Layton HS / Utah Prep (Formerly RSL Academy)
- Rated as a 4-star recruit according to ESPN
- Averaged 13.3 points and 4.0 rebounds his junior year
- Joined Layton HS as a junior after spending time at Utah Prep (Formerly RSL Academy)
