SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Gymnastics welcomed in another talented gymnast to its 2025 signing class on Friday morning signing Rochester, Minn. native Abbi Ryssman.
Ryssman is set to join fellow
future Red Rocks Bailey Stroud, Norah Christian, and Sage Cutis for the 2026 competition season.
"We are so thrilled to announce the addition of Abbi Ryssman to our Red Rock family," said head coach
Carly Dockendorf. "Abbi is a stunning gymnast with exquisite execution and breathtaking presentation. She brings precision to all four events, and I know our Huntsman Center crowd will be truly captivated watching her perform on the beam."

Ryssman made a name for herself on beam when she won a national title in 2023 while competing in Oklahoma City during USA Gymnastics development program's national championship. Since then, Ryssman's stock soared, ranking among the nation's best 100 gymnasts.
Currently, Ryssman competes for Flips Gymnastics (home of current Red Rock
Ella Zirbes) while attending Rochester Century High School, and owns some of the top scores in the country on vault (9.80), bars (9.725), beam (9.825, 9.775, 9.700), and the all-around (38.925, 38.725, 38.575).
Despite growing up in Minnesota, Utah's future Red Rock has many ties to the state. Ryssman's parents, Kelli and Dan met at BYU while both competing as Division I gymnasts, with her father later enrolling at the University of Utah's medical school. Ryssman also has a host of family whom still reside in Utah including grandparents, great grandparents, aunts and uncles.
