SALT LAKE CITY — Red Rock senior
Grace McCallum is one of six finalists for college gymnastics' prestigious AAI Award, handed out annually to the most outstanding senior gymnast.
McCallum has been an invaluable asset and representative of Utah Gymnastics' storied program the last four seasons as a consistent all-arounder who has posted career highs of 9.95 or better on every event, including a career-high all-around score of 39.825.
Utah's elite gymnast has posted 69 career wins (and counting) that include 14 all-around victories, three vault, 25 bars, nine beam, and 18 floor wins. Amazing Grace currently sits at 175 hit routines in 185 total over her career, has
six perfect 10s on her record (four bars, one floor, one beam), and has
been named the Big 12's Gymnast of the Week three times during her final season as a Red Rock.
McCallum is just the fourth Red Rock to record at least two 10s on bars in a single season (2022) through
the team's rich 50-year history.
Additionally, McCallum has been named a WCGA regular season All-America second team selection on bars and floor, NCAA runner-up on bars (2023) where she scored a 9.950 in her first routine back from injury, a Pac-12 champion on bars and floor (2022), as well as a Co-MVP for Utah in her freshman debut in the 2022 season.
McCallum has been named an All-American eight times through her illustrious career (five regular season titles, and three NCAA), and has seven All-Pac-12 Conference honors to her name.
The senior performs just as well in the classroom as she does on the competition floor, earning back-to-back Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll nods on her way to earning her degree in psychology.
In 2021, McCallum represented the Red Rock brand proudly on the world stage at the Tokyo Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal finish. McCallum spent four years as a member of the USA National Team (2018-21) where she was crowned a two-time World Champion in the lead-up to the Olympic games.
After the 2025 season wraps up, McCallum will stay on with the Red Rocks as their student-coach for the 2026 season.
