Utes now one win away from tying a program-high 19 wins.
After taking two Friday losses to Arizona and No. 1 TCU, the Utes were hot out of the gate as they played a morning match versus Pepperdine and beat the Waves 4-1. Directly after their first match, Utah went head-to-head with No. 12 Arizona State, where Utah took a 5-0 loss.Â

Utah's season record now extends to 18-10, putting them two wins away from breaking the season-high wins record. That record was set just a year ago in 2024, where the Utes went 19-16 and had a post-season win versus Oregon in the Pac-12 tournament.Â

Versus Pepperdine, Utah found success in four of the five pairings, with three duos winning in straight sets. Lauren Sayre and Elle Burleson got things started for Utah, winning in dominant fashion (21-13) (21-11). This was followed by Utah's No. 1's and No. 3's getting the job done, as Katie McAlister and Quincy Stephens won (21-18) (21-16), and Sonja Wessel and Maeve Griffin won (21-16) (21-13). Kylie Pitzak and Ellyn Collins won in the tiebreaker, after dropping the first. (19-21) (23-21) (15-5).

Against No. 12 Arizona State, Utah didn't find as much success. The Utes lost the match 5-0, although Utah's pairs 3, 4 and 5 valiantly fought the Sun Devils, each achieving a set win before losing in the third set.

After seven consecutive weeks of Utah Beach Volleyball competition, the Utes have a bye-week. On April 12th, Utah Beach hosts their own Prospect Clinic from 9 A.M. to 1:30 P.M., which is open to any and all. This will be held at the Lassonde Sports Courts on the University of Utah Campus.Â
