SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah's lacrosse program earned it's third ASUN weekly honor after redshirt Junior
Dallin Tanner was named Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Tanner led the team's defensive efforts against the Mercer Bears, tallying four caused turn overs and clocking his first goal of the season.
The redshirt junior has marked a career-high of two points so far this season, one goal and one assist. Defensively, the Herriman, Utah native has tallied nine ground balls, with a season-high of three in the game against Marquette. He's currently fourth on the Utah roster for caused turnovers, sitting at eight.
Tanner and the rest of the Utes are facing Jacksonville on Saturday, April 12 at 11 a.m. for their final home match where they will honor their seven seniors.
