WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah— The No. 3 Red Rocks took fourth place in the Sprouts Farmers Market Quad (195.900) behind first-place Oklahoma (197.500), second-place LSU (197.500), and third-place UCLA (197.000).
"I didn't really have the right words to say at the end of the meet," said head coach
Carly Dockendorf. "There were so many good things that happened, but the bottom line is, we have to be better. We can't just be good on two events or three events. We have to be good on four events and period. The end."

Sophomore
Avery Neff 'wowed' the crowd with her first career perfect 10 on vault that also happened to be the first perfect 10 of the 2026 gymnastics season, while senior
Ashley Glynn notched a career-high on the event of 9.975, helping the Utes to the highest event score of the day (49.600).
Â
Utah's start to Sprouts was not the smoothest with junior
Elizabeth Gantner posting the highest score on beam in the leadoff, 9.875. Neff and senior
Ana Padurariu ended the event for the Red Rocks with a 9.775 and 9.80 to give the Utes a 47.775 team score on beam.

UCLA walked away from round one with the lead (49.425), followed by Oklahoma (49.350), LSU in third (49.275), and Utah in last (47.775).
Â
Utah recovered a bit on floor earning a team score of 49.050 after senior
Makenna Smith ended the rotation with a 9.85, and Neff and junior
Ella Zirbes posting 9.875s in the middle of the lineup.
Â
The pecking order after rotation two changed with Oklahoma taking the top spot (98.825), LSU sliding up to second (98.600), UCLA falling down to third (98.550) and Utah remaining in fourth (96.925).
Â
Utah came alive during the third rotation on vault, posting the highest team score of the meet (49.600) and earning the session's only 10.0 score from Neff in the anchor position. Before Neff brought the house down, sophomore
Clara Raposo (9.80), Zirbes (9.925), Smith (9.825) and sophomore
Zoe Johnson (9.875) set a strong foundation. In the middle of the lineup, Glynn earned herself a career-high 9.975 with one judge giving her a 10.0.
Â
Â
Despite the Red Rocks' massive effort on vault, they remained in fourth place (146.525) behind first place Oklahoma (148.325), second place LSU (148.150) and third place UCLA (147.700).
Â
The Red Rocks handled their business in the final rotation on bars, posting a 49.375 team score with Zirbes (9.95) and freshman
