SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Cross country team will be well represented at the World Cross Country Championships this Saturday, Jan. 10, at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla., with former All-Americans Poppy Tank (GB & NI) and Emily Venters (USA) competing in the senior women's race (10K) while incoming freshman Riley Innes (CAN) competes in the U20 women's race (6k).

Innes and Team Canada will be the first to toe the line with the U20 women's race scheduled to start at 8:20 a.m. (MST) / 10:20 a.m. (EST) while the senior women's race is slated to begin at 9:35 a.m. (MST) / 11:35 a.m. (EST).
This is the second world team for Tank, who last represented Team Great Britain & Northern Ireland back in 2023 when the race took place in Bathurst, Australia.
Venters will make her debut with Team USA in a global event when she toes the line on race day. She last donned the Red, White & Blue back in 2018 when she competed at the Great Edinburgh Cross Country Challenge in Scotland.
Innes, who finished ninth at the Canadian U20 Cross Country Championships, will also be competing in her first global event as a member of Team Canada.
