JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two Utah lacrosse student-athletes earned Atlantic Sun Conference weekly awards following the Utes' 17-10 win over Dartmouth on Saturday inside Rice-Eccles Stadium, the league office announced Monday.
Zachary White was selected as the ASUN Offensive Player of the Week and
Nikko DiPonio was selected as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season and second week in a row after Utah's third consecutive win.
This marks the third time during the 2026 season that Utah has swept ASUN weekly awards, also doing so last week following the record-breaking win over Iona and after the win in the season opener against Delaware.
White powered Utah's offense with five goals and added two assists for a team-high and career-best seven points, while also contributing four ground balls and three caused turnovers. The senior nearly doubled his points for the season after entering the week with eight, all coming off of assists. Making his presence felt on the ride, White caused multiple turnovers on clearance attempts by the Big Green, setting up easy transition goals for the Utes.
This marks the senior's first career weekly award from the ASUN and the third Utah Ute to be named Offensive Player of the Week this season, along with
Ryan Stines and
Luke McNamara.
DiPonio, the Preseason ASUN Defensive Player of the Year, led Utah's defensive charge against the Big Green, causing four turnovers and nabbing a team-high seven ground balls. The senior was the driving force as the Utes set the program record for caused turnovers in a game with 21.
DiPonio now has four games this season with four or more CTs and four outings with four or more GBs. He leads the ASUN with 20 caused turnovers - eight more than any other player in the league - and boasts a conference-best 3.33 CTs per game while ranking fourth with 32 ground balls. In his last three outings, DiPonio has recorded 24 GBs and nine CTs.
This marks the fifth career weekly award for Michigan native, the most by any Utah Ute in program history.
Utah has swept conference weekly awards three times in 2026 and is the only team in the league to do so this season.
