DALY CITY, Cali. — No. 24 Utah Golf sits in 13^th place after two rounds of play in day one of the Desimone Invitational, led by strong efforts from junior Sergio Jimenez 2-under 142 and senior Brandon Robison 4-under 140.

The Utes racked up a 6-under 570 through two rounds of play, with one more 18-hole day taking place Tuesday, March 10.

ROUND ONE STANDINGS
Utah Golf finished round one at the Desimone in a four-way tie for 11^th place after going 2-under 286 as a team through the first 18 holes of competition.

Jimenez led the charge with a 5-under 67 to start his day, putting him a tie for sixth through the first half of competition.

Robison tied for 30^th through the first 18 with a 1-under 71, while mid-year transfer Jack Jerge and fellow senior Davis Johnson both tied for 67^th place going 2-over 74 each.

Junior Gabriel Palacios rounded out Utah's first half of play at the Desimone tied at 73, posting a 4-over 76.

ROUND TWO STANDINGS
Utah closed out day one at the Desimone in 13^th place after posting a 4-under 286 as a team in round two for a 6-under total heading into Tuesday's finale.

Robison shot up the leaderboard 11 spots through the second half of the day, posting a 3-under 69 in round two to tie for 19^th place heading into Tuesday's competition.

Palacios closed out day one strong, moving 14 spots into a tie for 59^th place with a 2-under 70 through round two.

Jerge also made big moves on the leaderboard, jumping 15 spots to tie for 52^nd place, finishing the day with a 1-under 71 round two effort.

Jimenez finished out day one at the Desimone with the Utes' second-highest individual ranking tied at 33, going 3-over 75 in round two.

Johnson rounded out Utah's first day effort tied for 70^th place, shooting 2-over 74.

UP NEXT
The Utes will compete in the third and final round of the Desimone on Tuesday, March 10 before taking a quick breather ahead of the Schenkel from March 13-15 in Statesboro, Geor. Later in the week.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS
The Desimone Invitational will span 54 holes across two days, with 36-holes played on day one and an 18-hole round on day two. The tournament will begin on Monday, March 9 and conclude with the final round on Tuesday, March 10.
