DAY TWO RECAP
PHOENIX — Utah golf bumped up to a seventh-place finish in the final day of play at the 52
nd annual Thunderbird Collegiate and will now turn its attention to the Big 12 Championship Tournament coming up April 27-29.
Junior
Sergio Jimenez and senior
Brandon Robison took charge in the final round of 18 for the Utes, helping them to an 8-under effort in round three and a 6-under total score for the tournament.
Utah's 8-under day tied for the second-best team effort in the final day of competition.
Jimenez carded a monster round three effort, going 5-under 66 and ending the Thunderbird in ninth place with a 5-under total. Jimenez was Utah's highest finisher at the tournament.
Robison proved to be Utah's steady hand through all three rounds, carding a 2-under 69 in round three to tie for 13
th place with a 4-under total score.
Junior
Jack Jerge was 1-under 70 through round three, carding a 5-over final score, while both
Davis Johnson and
Adam Croix hit even in round three. Johnson finished up at even par at the Thunderbird and Croix ended a 9-over.
Jan Farre and
Gabriel Palacios carded the same round three and final scores as individuals (1-under 70 and 2-over final), and
Ivan Enguita ended his time at the Thunderbird 5-over 76 for a 4-over final tally.

COACHES THOUGHTS
"Proud of our final 36 holes," said head coach
Garrett Clegg. "Was a really rough start in round one, but we played solid golf in the final 36 holes. Both Brandon and Sergio were really good this week. We have to continue to work to be more consistent. I'm excited to have a couple of weeks at home before conference."
