SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah track & field team honored both its All-Americans and seniors on Saturday at the McCarthey Family Track & Field Complex at its lone home meet, the Utah Spring Classic.

Haley Duvall got the Utes going on the track with a winning run of 11.75 (aa) in the 100m dash for a new PR and saw herself move into the No. 5 spot on the all-time list at Utah.

Lela Divinity then went out and picked up a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles after posting 1:03.07 (aa) before the first of two storm cells hit to cause a weather delay. Maria Alvarado would also secure a top-10 finish with her run of 1:03.66 (aa) for seventh-overall.

Out of the weather delay,
Glo Hussey secured her first-career heptathlon victory with 5076 points after taking second in the 800m run with a time of 2:29.29 (aa). The 5076 points in the heptathlon for Hussey saw her move into No. 6 at Utah all-time. Earlier in the morning, Hussey captured the long jump portion of the heptathlon after leaping a 5.98m (19-7.50). She would take third in the javelin with a throw of 31.13m (102-01) before securing the win in the 800m run.

After yet another weather delay,
Madi Hulsey placed second in the 800m run with a mark of 2:08.52 behind teammate
Erin Vringer – who ran unattached and broke the facility record with a run of 2:04.36.

In the 200m dash, freshman
Ellie Heslam picked up a second-place finish after crossing the finish line at 25.77 (aa). Meanwhile, teammate
Susmitha Jayanthi came in placed fifth-overall with a time of 26.42 (aa) with
Kait Durham rounding out the top-10 with a ninth-place run of 26.70 (aa).

The 4x400m relay team of Duvall, Divinity, Durham and Jayanthi closed out the day by winning with a time of 3:56.45 (aa).
