Sergio Jimenez ripped off a monster day three effort at the Big 12 Conference Championship, carding 7-under 63, and tying the conference record for the lowest single-round score.
He now sits tied for fourth in the standings with a 4-under scorecard through three rounds of play.
Jimenez is just the fourth player overall to shoot 63 during the Big 12 Championship and is the first player along with BYU's Kihei Akina to reach the mark at the championship since Ludvig Aberg of Texas Tech in 2023.
Additionally, Jimenez's efforts tied the Big 12 third-round record previously set by Aberg at Prairie Dunes and is one off from the course's record of 62.
Jimenez has shot 63 once before through his time at Utah during the Palouse Collegiate in the 2024-25 season, tying the Spaniards' second-best single-round score. Jimenez's career-best also took place at the Palouse Collegiate, carding 61 in the first day of play.
Utah moved up the leaderboard two spots in day two's action to No. 9 with 18 more holes left to play. As a team, the Utes went 3-under par for round three, and sit at 14-over total.
