SALT LAKE CITY – Utah's women's basketball head coach
Gavin Petersen announces the addition of one new Utes transferring to Utah for the 2026-27 roster in Elise Livingston.
"We are thrilled to add Elise to our team for the 2026-27 season," Petersen said. "Elise has always been known as a physical, skilled guard, a great teammate and ultimate competitor. While we are looking forward to working with her on the floor, and pouring into her development, Elise will immediately bring with her valuable on court experience, as she has started 53 games in her collegiate career, while coming off a season in which she shot 36% from three point range. She will fit in real nicely with our guard group and we can't wait to get to work."
Livingston, a Millville, Utah native, will be joining the Utes after playing her sophomore and freshman seasons at Utah State. While at Utah State, she played in 61 games and started in 53. She averaged 27.2 minutes per game and shot 35.8% from the field, 33.5% from three and 83.9% from the free throw line. She averaged 7.2 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game and 1.5 assists per game.
During the 2025-26 season, Livingston appeared in all 30 games and started in 27 games for the Aggies. She averaged 8.2 points per game while shooting 37.4% from the field, 36.1% from three and 85.7% from the free throw line. Scored a season-high 21 points against Nevada while playing all 45 minutes and made a career-high five 3-pointers during a 17-point outing against UNLV.
As a freshman in 2024-25, Livingston appeared in all 31 games with 26 starts, averaging 5.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. She shot 34.7 percent from the floor and 75.7 percent from the free throw line. She scored a career-high 22 points in a win at San José State, scoring 10 of USU's final 15 points and going 8-of-8 from the free throw line in the final four minutes.
Prior to her collegiate career, Livingston was a four-year letterwinner at Ridgeline High School in Millville, Utah. She helped the Riverhawks secure Utah 4A state titles in 2023 and 2024. Livingston Earned first-team all-state honors for three consecutive years, from her sophomore to senior seasons. As a senior in 2023-24, helped her team finish ranked No. 28 in the nation as she averaged 14.9 points, 2.6 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per contest. In the state title game against Show Canyon, she led the team with 20 points to earn Deseret News all-tournament recognition for the third consecutive season. Throughout her high school career, accumulated over 1,100 points. She played for one of the top club basketball teams in the region, Utah Lady Prospects, where she helped her team to a third-place finish at Adidas Nationals.
