GABORONE, Botswana – Former Utah track star Josefine Aks, formerly Eriksen, helped Team Norway capture the 4x400m relay title on Sunday at the World Relays.
Aks ran the second-fastest opening leg with a split 51.26 while teammate Henriette Jæger closed things out with the fastest leg in the race (48.91) to give the Norwegians a 2026 world leading time of 3:20.96 – which was just shy of cracking the all-time list. In addition to running the world leading time, it was also a new Norwegian record.
With the win, the Norwegians not only automatically qualified for next year's World Championships in Beijing but also earned preferential lane assignment for the championships.
