SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball team announced the addition of Lukas McCanna for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
McCanna joins Utah after spending last season at Western Reserve Academy out of Hudson, Ohio. He started his prep career at Evergreen High School (2022-25) in Evergreen, Colo.

Western Reserve Academy – Evergreen HS
• Played three seasons at Evergreen HS before transferring to Western Reserve Academy
• Averaged 12.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks as a junior at EHS
• Named CHSAA 5A All-State Honorable Mention after averaging 12.4 points and 9.2 rebounds as a sophomore
• Played on defensive line in 2023-24 at EHS, totaling 17 tackles (6 solo) and 2.0 TFL with 2 forced fumbles
The Colorado product will join newcomers TJ Burch, Alec Anigbata, Taison Chatman, Jackson Holcombe, Styles Clemmons, Zati Loubaki, Malek Gomma and return missionaries Jaxon Johnson and David Katoa.
