Big12 Announces 2026-27 Women's Basketball Schedule

SALT LAKE CITY – The Big 12 Conference has released the dates and site designations for the league's 2026-27 women's basketball season, and Utah will host nine conference foes at the Jon M. Huntsman Center in its third Big 12 campaign. Specific times for each game will be announced after television selections are finalized.

Head Coach Gavin Petersen's team is coming off its fifth consecutive postseason appearance. The Utes will have nine newcomers this season including five new transfers, Lena Giaradi, Filipa Barros, Olivia Bradley, Laia Conesa and Elise Livingston. Utah returns four from last year's team in Chyra Evans, Evelina Otto, Kamryn Mafua and Ella Todd.
The Utes open their 18-game Big 12 schedule on the road at Arizona State on Monday, Dec. 21 before hosting Houston, Dec. 30 in the Huntsman Center. The Utes then welcome Kansas State to Salt Lake City on Jan. 2.
Utah will get back on the road Jan. 6 to take on TCU and then Texas Tech Jan. 9. Utah will host the Kansas Jayhawks on Jan. 16 before hosting Oklahoma State Jan. 19.
Utah will then hit the road to take on Baylor Jan. 23 and Arizona Jan. 27. The Utes will host UCF on Jan. 30 before hosting rival BYU on Feb. 3.
The next road trip will be Feb. 6 to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats and then Feb. 9 to take on the Mountaineers of West Virginia. The Utes will return to Salt Lake City to host Colorado Feb. 13 followed by a road trip to Ames, Iowa to take on Iowa State Feb. 17.
Utah's final home games of the regular season will be Feb. 20 against Arizona State and Feb. 24 against Arizona. The regular season will conclude with a trip just south to Provo, Utah to take on rival BYU for the second time in the season.
The 2027 Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 3-7 in Kansas City, Mo., at the T-Mobile Center.
Utah will start official practices on Thursday, Sept. 22 and will start competition action with an exhibition game on Oct. 18 against the Idaho Vandals at 2 p.m. in the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The Utes first official game of the season is set for Nov. 3 at home against Eastern Washington.
