SALT LAKE CITY – Utah men's basketball center Fynn Schott will miss the start of the 2026-27 season, the program announced Friday.

Schott underwent successful surgery on his right leg earlier this week. He is expected to make a full recovery and return to the Runnin' Utes this season.

Utah is set to kick-off its exhibition slate on Wednesday, Oct. 7, when it heads to Las Vegas, Nev., for a match-up against former WAC and Mountain West Conference rival UNLV at 8 p.m. (MDT) inside the Thomas & Mack Center.
