Spring Commencement Includes 82 Utah Student-Athletes from all 20 Sports
Eighty current and former Utah student-athletes are set to receive their degrees as part of the University of Utah's spring commencement on Thursday, May 6, recognizing both Spring and Summer 2021 graduates earning bachelor's and master's degrees. The University’s 152nd general commencement will be held virtually on May 6 at 7 p.m. MT at utah.edu/live.Utah's student-athletes continue to graduate at an exceptionally high level, producing a 94-percent figure for the second consecutive year in the annual NCAA Graduation Success Rate report, released in November of 2020. The 94 percent graduation rate is the second highest in school history, and it is the fourth consecutive year that Utah's score has been over 90 percent. The Fall 2020 cumulative GPA of Utah student-athletes was 3.39, second-highest in school history behind the Spring 2020 GPA of 3.57. In addition, 183 student-athletes were recently honored for receiving all As over the 2020 Spring & Fall semesters.
