Jason Greco joined the Utah Athletics team in March 2022 as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and was elevated to Executive Senior Associate AD for Governance and Brand Strategy in July 2025. Greco came to Utah after four years at Auburn University, where he served as Associate A.D. for Compliance, and brought 12 years of experience in NCAA compliance at four institutions to his position with the Utes.
Greco is responsible for managing all aspects of Utah’s compliance department, shaping and implementing policies and procedures that promote a culture of excellence that optimizes the student-athlete experience and best positions Utah’s students for success in the classroom, in competition and in the community, particularly in the ever-changing landscape of intercollegiate athletics. Greco also oversees internal cap management and governance surrounding the landmark NCAA vs. House settlement and Utah Athletics Brand Ambassador program that is focused on the enhancing external brand opportunities for student-athletes and education on branding. He also serves as sport supervisor for the Utes' baseball and volleyball programs.
Greco joined the Auburn compliance staff in 2018 as Asst. A.D. for Compliance and was promoted to Associate A.D. in 2021. In his role with the Tigers, Greco was responsible for day-to-day management of the Auburn compliance office, leading a team of five full-time staff members. His responsibilities also included being the primary contact for all compliance-related matters of the Auburn football program and serving as sport supervisor for the swimming and diving programs. Greco also was a member of the steering committee for Auburn's Name, Image and Likeness endeavors and for the department's five-year strategic plan.
Greco also served as Auburn's compliance liaison for softball and equestrian, and developed all compliance policies and procedures for Auburn Athletics.
Prior to Auburn, Greco spent five years (2013-18) as Director of Compliance at North Carolina State after two years (2011-12) as Compliance Coordinator at Siena College. He began his career as a graduate assistant at the University at Albany.
A native of Amsterdam, N.Y., Greco earned a bachelor of science degree in sport management from Ithaca College, and a master of science in education administration and policy studies from Albany.
