Colter Carman returns to his hometown of Salt Lake City to begin his coaching career with the Utah swimming & diving program in 2022-23 as the program's volunteer assistant coach.
Carman finished his swimming career at the University of Texas in 2022, graduating with a degree in coaching and minoring in education. Carman competed for the Longhorns primarily in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 200 IM and 400 IM. He was a three-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, as well as a 2021-22 Academic All-Big 12 Second Team selection.
During his redshirt freshman season in 2018-19, Carman swam the 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 back at the Big 12 Championships. The year prior, the Salt Lake City native competed in the 400 IM and 200 IM at USA Nationals in his redshirt season. His top times included 1:45.03 in the 200 IM and 3:46.37 in the 400 IM.
