As the Volleyball Sports Science Intern, Sam Moore helps manage and distribute on and off court training data, related to both on court volleyball statistical needs, as well assisting with strength and conditioning training sessions.

She played two seasons at University of Portland as a setter before suffering a season ending knee injury, and transferred to Western Oregon University where she played as an outside hitter/setter. Moore led her team at WOU in all blocking categories and hitting percentage.
In addition to playing volleyball, Moore competed on the track and field team. She collected All-GNAC honors in the heptathlon, as well as posting a top-10 all-time finish in the pentathlon for WOU as well as being on the All-GNAC academic team.

Moore is also USA Weightlifting - Sports Performance Coach Certified, National Academy of Sports Medicine - Performance Enhancement Specialist certified, and National Academy of Speed and Explosion - Speed and Explosion Specialist Certified. She has worked as an assistant sports performance coach at University of Portland, as well as an assistant coach and sports performance coach for southwestern Oregon community college volleyball for their off season development.
While in Portland, Moore was involved in the volleyball club scene having coached with Portland Volleyball Club, Capital City Elite Volleyball Club, Crook County High School, as well as spending one year as a Health/PE teacher and Head track and field coach for Taft High School before coming to Utah.
Moore graduated with a BA in Exercise Science and Human Biology in 2015, MS of Exercise Science in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania in 2018, and currently enrolled in a PhD of Exercise Science in Health and Human Performance at Concordia University of Chicago.
