SALT LAKE CITY -- Nine members of the University of Utah ski team have been named to the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association All-Academic Team.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have competed in the regional championships and have a fall semester/quarter grade-point average of 3.50 or higher (on a 4.00 scale). The list includes 119 student-athletes from 22 schools.
Utes Tina Kavcic (physical therapy), Sandra Kuehni (architecture), Sabrina Lawrence (communications), Martine Munthe-Kaas (exercise science) and Hailey Wappett (civil engineering) were named to the women's team. Alain Britt-Cote (economics), Pat Casey (environmental earth science), Ryan Forsyth (business) and Markus Leunig (finance) were named to the men's team.
