CRESTED BLUFF, Colo. -- After three days of competition, the University of Utah ski team won by a comfortable 54 point margin over second place Colorado. The Utes scored 412 points marking their highest output of the year.
In men's 20K classic cross country, the brother tandem of Frode and Rune Kollerud lead Utah as they placed second and third. Other top finishers were Pat Casey took fifth and Hakon Skjonberg placed eleventh.
In women's 15K classic country, Kristin Tjelle placed a team high sixth for the Utes.
Utah's men's slalom was lead by Alain Britt-cote who after his first place finish yesterday in giant slalom finished sixth followed by Markus Leunig who took seventh for Utah.
In the women's slalom, Alicia Howard was the top Utah finisher with her second place mark. Three other Ute skiers placed in the top ten with Sandra Kuehni at fourth, Marianne Winge at fifth and Sabrina Lawerence at eighth.
