HONOLULU (AP) - Andre Miller and Alex Jensen scored 17 points apiece and Hanno Mottola added 13 Monday night as Utah reeled off key runs to take a 60-46 victory over Hawaii.
The Utes (13-4, 3-0 Western Athletic Conference), with Mottola scoring six points, pulled away to a 22-10 lead midway through the first half with Miller taking over the final 10 minutes of the half with seven points, making it 30-22 at the midway mark.
Hawaii (3-13, 0-4) went scoreless for 4:32 during the first Utah spurt, but 3-pointers by Johnny White and Mike Robinson sparked a 10-1 spurt that had the score at 23-20 before Miller took over.
Runs of 10-3 and 18-5 helped Utah pull away in the second half after Hawaii had again narrowed the margin to three points, 37-34.
In addition to his scoring, Miller had 11 rebounds and seven assists. For the Rainbows, Robinson finished with 17 points and nine rebounds with Marquette Alexander adding 16 points.
