Dyson, Olevao Named In Awards Lists

SALT LAKE CITY -
Utah football players Andre Dyson and Kautai Olevao remain in consideration for a pair of national awards after the preseason lists were trimmed on Tuesday. Dyson is in the running to be a semi-finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, which goes to the nation's outstanding collegiate defensive back. Ten semi-finalists will be announced on November 8 and three finalists will be named on November 21. Olevao is one of 48 players still included on the Bronco Nagurski "Watch List." The Bronko Nagurski Trophy is awarded to the national defensive player of the year. Olevao is among 18 linebackers remaining on the list.
