Christianson, Morgan Named to Academic District All-America Team

University of Utah senior football players Kimball Christianson and Nick Morgan have been named to the Verizon All-District VIII Academic All-America team for the second straight year.
Christianson, a four-year starting safety majoring in German, has a 3.81 cumulative GPA. He has taken the MCAT exam in preparation for attending medical school. On the field, Christianson has 52 total tackles, 2 sacks, 4 pass breakups and an interception. He had 17 tackles against Air Force.
Morgan, who plays running back and tight end for Utah, was named the first-team fullback on the academic district team. He has 15 rushes for 94 yards and 1 touchdown and averages 6.3 yards per carry. Morgan also has 4 receptions for 50 yards. announced Wednesday.
The two are now eligible for the national ballot. The Verizon Academic All-America team will be released on December 5.
