Kimball Christianson Named Verizon Academic All-American

SALT LAKE CITY -
University of Utah football player Kimball Christianson has been named to the Verizon Academic All-America second team. The senior defensive back became eligible for Academic All-America honors when he was cited as a first-team all-District VIII Academic All-American. Christianson, a German major who has taken the MCAT exam in preparation for medical school, carries a 3.81 cumulative GPA. On the field, he had 65 total tackles, fifth on the team, and five pass deflections. He also had two tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception.
