THIS WEEK: The University of Utah women's soccer team will endure their first home match against Arizona State University on Friday, Sept. 7. The Sun Devils are 2-0 on the season. The game will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Ute Field.
Preview: The match against Arizona State is the first of a three-game home-stand that the Utes will host. On Sept. 13, Utah will face Marquette University, followed by Montana on Sept. 16. The following week, the Utes will take to the road to take on a tough Kentucky squad on Sept. 21 and Miami-Ohio Sept. 23.
Reviewing Last Week: The Utes dropped their season opener against No. 18-ranked Florida, 5-2, in Gainesville on Friday. Utah rebounded for their game against South Florida, and defeated the Bulls, 4-1. Bobbie Benegas scored two goals to lead the Utes to victory.
Ute Notes: Amy Kofoed, who was goal-less in the first two games of the season, is just four goals away from tying Staci Burt's career goal record at Utah. Burt played at Utah from 1996-99 and is currently leaving her mark in the Women's United Soccer Association for the Carolina Courage.
