MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- Two swimmers from the University of Utah swimming and diving team competed in the second day of competition at the U.S. Nationals. Freshman Cody Rempfer qualified for the 200 fly "C" final with a preliminary time of 2:08.23. Rempfer finished fifth in the final, beating his previous time by over a second (2:07.01). Neringa Statkeviciute competed in the 100 free preliminary round, finishing with a time of 58.52, but failed to qualify for the finals.
Utah had four swimmers qualify for the meet, Statkeviciute will compete in the 200 free today.
