SALT LAKE CITY - Four Utah skiers -- Tony Bozzio, Jernej Bukovec, Torin Koos and Ben Thornhill -- have been named Mountain West Conference Scholar Athletes for the 2002-03 academic year.
The Scholar-Athlete Award is the most prestigious academic award given by the Mountain West Conference. The award is presented to student-athletes who have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the certifying institution, have earned at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and have competed in at least one varsity contest.
The honorees, along with their year, grade-point average and major, are:
