The University of Utah diving squad finished a stellar weekend, winning all four board events and setting three new school records at the Notre Dame Invitational Dec. 1-3. Junior Kelsey Patterson won the 3-meter diving event with a score of 321.80, beating out Notre Dame's Tara Hyer by 8.35 points. Utah's Anna Braszkeiwicz finished fourth with 289.05 points.
Senior Sterling Richards set a new Utah school record in the 1-meter diving event by tallying 376.90 points, 48.15 points more than second place. Juniors Andrew Jones (313.20) and Damien Brown (309.60) finished third and fourth respectively.
Richards also won the 3-meter board event by setting another Utah school record after tallying 400.95 points. Richards beat out Sam Stoner of Notre Dame by 49.75 points on the way to his second event victory of the meet.
Patterson posted her second victory of the meet by winning the 1-meter diving event with 305.30 points, 23.3 points ahead of second place, which is a new Utah school record. Anna Braszkiewicz finished in sixth place with 257.80 points.
The Utes take a break before returning to action Jan. 13, 2006 against New Mexico at Ute Natatorium.
