Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
"We were a little sluggish getting going early. We didn't get to spots, we doubled the post and gave them some good looks, but it's a credit to Wyoming. They are playing as well as anyone in this league right now. Like I told our team, it wasn't our best effort--and again I am not taking anything away from Wyoming--but you can still find a way to be successful. We are still searching for our best basketball right now. We just needed to get through it tonight and we found a way to do it. "
"It all goes back to our defense. I don't have a problem if we don't shoot the basketball, but the defense on the floor is something we can control."
Utah Center Andrew Bogut
"They just gave me the ball. Wyoming didn't double today and I found it very easy to score."
"We just had to stay in the game, doing little things, rebounding, getting all those balls."
"It's going to be a lose week. We are not going to take things too serious. Air Force is a tough team but we've got to play our own game. It'll be tough."
"That's the scary thing is we haven't played our best basketball game yet this year. Half our games, we play really hard but not for 40 minutes. We play one half well and one half not well all through conference. I think if we click in both halves, we will really play tough basketball."
Wyoming Head Coach Steve McClain
"I told the kids that we played hard enough to win on the road, but not smart enough. We also had a period where we just couldn't score and I give Utah credit for that. Their defense stepped up and we had some balls go in and out of the basket. We couldn't overcome that. We got into a period where we were trying to do it all by ourselves."
"When you do that and don't make shots, it leads to easy baskets. We are happy with our defense on Bogut. He's going to get his points and we knew it. What disappointed me was the fact that we didn't block out. If we'd blocked out, we would have been up at halftime. However, next time, I'd play them exactly the way we did tonight."
