Colorado Springs, Colo. - After experiencing a one day delay due to a bliizzard, Utah cruised to a 5-0 finish over Air Force. With the win, the women's tennis team advances to 3-2 in the Mountain West Conference.
The Utes took a 1-0 lead early on by sweeping all the doubles matches.
In singles, Utah picked up wins at four of the six positions to clinch the match. Liz Ferris stepped back into No. 1, defeating Kat Bushey (6-0, 6-3) while Emily Kwok downed Karissa Walker (6-2, 6-2) at No. 2. Whitney Eber earned a (6-1, 6-2) win over Katie Tomkie at No. 3. At No. 4, Cheyenne Reveche took care of Lauren Wilson (6-4, 6-4). The matches at No. 5 and 6 were not finished.
Utah wraps up the conference season this week against UNLV and San Diego State.
