SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah has added three new faces to its staff this summer.
Joining the Utes are director of ticket sales Zack Lassiter, group sales director Ryan O'Connor and assistant director of compliance Chris Rogers.
Lassiter comes to Utah after spending the last four years as an assistant ticket manager. Most recently, Lassiter was the assistant ticket manager at LSU where he helped coordinate the ticketing efforts for the 2004 Nokia Sugar Bowl, the 2004 baseball regionals, super regionals and College World Series, and the 2004 SEC Championship football game.
Lassiter also spent three years working in the ticket office at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. While working for the Tarheels, he supervised the ticket operations for the men's basketball team. Lassiter also assisted with operations at the 2002 Peach Bowl, the NCAA Women's Basketball first and second rounds, preseason and postseason NIT tournaments, and NCAA tournaments for men's and women's soccer, and volleyball.
He graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Ore., with a degree in politics and economics in 1998. Lassiter received his Master of Arts from North Carolina in exercise and sport science in 2002.
O'Connor is the director of group sales and comes to the Utes after spending the first half of 2005 with the Salt Lake Stingers. With the Stingers, he was in charge of generating new season ticket sales, fundraising programs for local schools and charities, and organizing group outings. Prior the Stingers, O'Connor spent a season with the Utes as an account executive, selling season tickets for various athletic events and coordinating group sales. O'Connor graduated from Utah in May 2005 with a degree in business administration.
Rogers joins the staff as the assistant director of compliance. Rogers is from the University of Minnesota, where he has spent the last two years in its athletic compliance office. In addition to working in the compliance office, he also spent time in media relations office and with the men's cross country and track. Rogers has also worked with the Minnesota House of Representatives, the San Diego Spirit of the Women's Professional Soccer League and with the United State Olympic Committee. He graduated from Minnesota in 2000 with a and master's degree in Kinesiology. He also earned his bachelor's degree from Minnesota. Rogers also holds a law degree from Hamline University on St. Paul, Minn., in 2005.
