Utah Swimming Earns Academic Honors

SALT LAKE CITY - As the University of Utah Swimming and Diving team continues to have a strong season in the pool, the student-athletes showed that excellence in the water is not their only strong point. The men's and women's teams put 36 athletes on the Honor Roll/Dean's List for academic achievements during the 2006 fall semester.

The combined GPA for the women's team was 3.259, while the men's team had an average GPA of 3.006.

Those posting GPA's of 3.0 or better make the Honor Roll, while those with a 3.5 GPA or better with the required amount of credit hours, earn Dean's List honors.
