ST. GEORGE, Utah - The University of Utah women's tennis team played Dixie State on Tuesday for a 7-0 domination over the Rebels.
The Utes swept the doubles competition at every position to earn the doubles point. Senior Jessica Watts teamed up with newcomer McCaye Badger for a perfect 8-0 win over Danelle Williams and Lanie Evans from Dixie State.
The Rebels couldn't keep up with the Utes in singles play during Tuesday's afternoon battle. Two players from the Utes' line-up swept their competition with straight 6-0, 6-0 wins; Jessica Carter defeated Marci Shefield at the No. 3 slot, and Jessica Watts won her match over Liza Davis at the No. 4 slot.
