WINTER PARK, Colo. - Even Sletten and Kjersti Boe helped the University of Utah move up to third place in the team standings Saturday. Utah has 370 points and Colorado, which leads the invitational, has 407 heading into Sunday's finale.
"All in all, it was a good day for the team," said Eli Brown, Utah Director of Skiing. "Winning meets is great, but more importantly, our goal is to continue to develop and improve throughout the season. Today was a good step in that direction."
Sletten placed sixth in the 10K Freestyle to lead the men's half, while Ben Fick eighth to give the team two skiers in the top 10. Snorri Einarsson continued to battle the flu and finished 14th.
On the women's side, Kjersti Boe finished seventh, Sara Schweiger placed 11th and Annelies Cook was 12th.
