SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Luke Nevill scored 13 points in limited play to lead Utah (4-1) to its first true road victory of the season against Missouri State (2-2), 71-58 on Friday night.Carlon Brown and Tyler Kepkay also scored 13 apiece for the Utes, who took the lead for good early in the second period and made 10 straight free throws to end the game.
Missouri State was led by Spencer Laurie with 18 points and Chris Cook with 11.
The Utes held the Bears to just 34 percent from the floor, while shooting over 50 percent for the fourth consecutive game.
Nevill, the Utes' 7-foot-2 center, played 24 minutes and sat for almost 8 minutes in the second half after being assessed a technical foul with 17:48 left in the game and Missouri State leading 33-31.
But Utah went on a 15-5 run with Nevill on the bench and led 46-36 when he returned with 9:53 remaining. The Bears never got closer than 8 points after that.
The Utes held an 11-point halftime lead but went to the locker room down 27-26 at halftime. Utah then opened up as much as a 15-point lead in the second half and went on to win by 13. The Utes have recorded a double-digit margin of victory in all four of their wins this year.
