SALT LAKE CITY - Academic all-conference honors were conferred on 21 University of Utah track and field athletes today by the Mountain West Conference office.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
Garnering the honor this year were: Alyssa Abbott; Kellie Anderson; Josefin Berg; Alexis Davis; Chelsea DiGrazia; Lauren Endersen; Janett Ern; Breanna Freestone; Kastin Frostl; Sarah Grimm; Shayla Houlihan; April Hugie; Lauren Lewis; Haley McAllister; Sarah McFee; Aimee Nay; Chelsea Shapard; Laryssa Simpson; Jessica Suddaby; Liza Whitehead and Amanda Witherspoon.
Lauren Endersen led all Utah athletes in the spring term, recording a 4.0 grade-point average in biology.
