"We are psyched to start the season off with our home meet," Director of Skiing Eli Brown said. "The past few days the alpine team has been racing in some local races and doing quite well. The team is ready to start the racing season. Fired up and ready. It's going to be good."
Utah has one of the deepest men's alpine teams in the country. Nick Cohee is a returning All-American in the giant slalom. The women's alpine team is led by four-time All-American junior Eva Huckova. Newcomer Anna Kocken is a former Europa Cup competitor. Sofia Smith had six top-20 finishes last year.
