-Utah's 52 rebounds marks the second-highest total under head coach Jim Boylen. The high rebound mark was set at 53 last year vs. Southern University.
-Junior center David Foster finished the game with five blocks, taking over fourth place all-time at Utah with 125 rejections, passing Michael Doleac (124). Foster needs just one more block to tie Keith Van Horn for third place at Utah with 126. He is also chasing Mitch Smith, in second place with 157 blocks, and the career record of 205 held by Luke Nevill.
-Foster has now blocked at least one shot in 29 of his last 30 games dating back to last season, recording multiple rejections in 25 of those contests.
-Sophomore wing Shawn Glover pulled down a career-high eight boards, one of three Utes to tie for the game-high on the glass.
-Freshman guard J.J. O'Brien, junior wing Will Clyburn junior guard Josh Watkins made their first career starts in a Utah uniform.
-Nine different players scored Utah, including three who scored their first career points for the Crimson and White: Watkins, Clyburn, and O'Brien.
-The Utes held Grand Canyon to just 29.1% from the field (16-of-55), while shooting 46.9% (30-of-64) themselves.
