The University of Utah's Eva Huckova has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII Women's At-Large First Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday. This was the third consecutive year Huckova has received the award.
Huckova earned Academic All-American status last season and will appear on the national Academic All-America ballot this season as well.
Huckova owns a 3.99 GPA in finance and captured All-American status for the sixth time in her career after finishing with a sixth-place effort in the women's slalom at a time of 1:57.02 at the 2011 NCAA Championships.
Huckova, a senior from Banska Bystricka, Slovakia, helped the Utes take second place in the team standings at the 2011 NCAA Championships.
Teammate Torjus Krogdahl was selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII Men's At-Large First Team.
Individuals are selected through voting by CoSIDA, a 2,000-member organization consisting of sports public relations professionals for colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
